A Binna Burra Escapade
Our day out to Binna Burra began with Pat’s heroic endeavor to conquer the rather large car from the confines of her wheelchair. With determination rivaling that of a superhero, she maneuvered herself with much finesse! 💪
As we navigated through the cacophony of traffic, thankyou Gold Coast,
the landscape transformed from urban chaos to tranquil green fields, offering a serene backdrop
to our adventure.
However, nature had a mischievous streak, treating us to a rollercoaster of weather changes that left us scrambling for warmth.
Arriving at Binna Burra tea house,
we sought refuge in hearty servings of fish,
chips, and burgers, hoping to stave off the chill brought on by the unpredictable elements.
Yet, despite our best efforts, Pat began to resemble a human icicle, prompting us to huddle closer and share tales of warmth and camaraderie.
In a stroke of brilliance, Pat whipped out her trusty binoculars, transforming our lunch into a bird-watching extravaganza. With keen eyes and frozen fingers, we spotted bush turkeys, noisy miners, and butcher birds, their antics providing much-needed entertainment amidst the chill.
Fuelled by newfound warmth and a sense of adventure, we ventured into the gift shop, where Pat acquired an arsenal of fridge magnets to commemorate our escapade.
Our journey home took us through the scenic route via Lower Beechmont, heading to the café, where the promise of ice cream beckoned like a siren song. However, nature had one final twist in store, compelling us to enjoy our sweet treats within the cozy confines of the car, turning our leisurely drive into an impromptu ice cream party
Despite the comedic mishaps and chilly escapades, our day out to Binna Burra was a testament to the indomitable spirit of friendship, laughter, and the enduring warmth of shared adventures. 💜🌸
Thank you Pat and Kerry for a great day!
